Each piece of armor in the samurai action game Ghost of Tsushima is a tool for a variety of tasks, from effective close-range killing of enemies to improved stealth in stealth missions. In this guide you will learn how to unlock all the armors in the game.

Ghost Armor, Ghost Armband, Ghost Mask
Bonuses: a significant reduction in detection speed, an increase in the chance to intimidate enemies after killing an enemy, the required number of kills is reduced by 2 to enter the Ghost Stance.
You will receive this set for the story mission “Out of the Darkness”.
Tadayori armor, Tadayori hat
Bonuses: Jin fires his bow faster, has a longer concentration time, and hits his head, and the concentration bar fills up faster.
To get the armor, you need to complete the quest “The Legend of Tadayori” from the “Stories of Ancient Heroes” series. At the end of the task, you will face a strong opponent.
Gosaku Armor, Gosaku Helmet, Gosaku Headband
Bonuses: increased health, increased stagger damage, health regeneration when killing a stunned enemy.
You can get this set if you complete the “Indestructible Gosaku” quest from the “Stories of Ancient Heroes” series. You’ll have to run: the vault that hides the armor is opened with six keys, which are guarded by peasants from the villages of Aoi, Iijima, Kuta, Koshimizu, Ohama, Yagata. You have to free the settlements from the Mongols, get the keys, open the door to the vault and pick up the armor.
Kensei’s armor, Kensei’s hat
Bonuses: increased resolve gained, increased damage of the Ghost’s weapons (Jin’s gadgets like kunai or smoke bombs), reduced damage from enemies hit by the Ghost’s weapons.
To get the set, take the “Six Blades of Kojiro” quest from the “Stories of Ancient Heroes” series.
First, you will have to defeat five mini-bosses, the Straw Hats, who will be waiting for you in the game world. Look for the first one northeast of Urashima Village, the second one east of Yamabushi Peak, the third one southeast of Lucky Genzo Inn, the fourth one north of Equinox Flower Field, and the fifth one south of Old Kanazawa Swamp.
After completing these fights, you will fight the legendary warrior Kojiro: defeat him and get the armor.
Mongol commander’s armor, Mongolian helmet, conqueror’s mask
Bonuses: increased health, reduced damage, reduced detection speed out of combat – the Mongols will take you for their own.
You can get this armor when you talk to the NPC at the Jogaku Shrine and accept the quest “Meeting the Khan”. Kill the Mongol commanders while clearing the forts and camps, collect the parts of the kit, then return to the character in Jogaku and talk to him again.
Bonus: You move silently… but you don’t look like a samurai.
