The recently relaunched MMORPG with sandbox elements Fractured Online has become a victim of hackers. One of the developers reported on the official Discord server that his administrator account was hacked. The attacker removed all player-built cities, leaving them in an empty field.
According to a Dynamight Studios representative, the team has “no idea” about how this could have happened. However, cities are promised to be restored – partly by taking data from a previous save, and partly at the command of the game master.
At the time of writing this news, login to Fractured Online has been suspended. The developers will report on the progress of the investigation via Discord.
