Bethesda and IKEA have released an official free add-on from the Creations section for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimthe main character of which was the Kallax rack. The piece of furniture was voiced by Matt Berry, familiar to viewers from the series What We Do in the Shadows.
The cabinet is named Kallax Storageborn and works as a full-fledged companion. It transports the player’s things and solves the main everyday problem of Skyrim, the eternal overload of inventory.

You can call an assistant with a separate dragon Shout with the formula AYE-KEY-YAH, a play on the name of the Swedish network. The add-on is officially licensed by IKEA, and the joke about overload is at its core.
However, the matter was not limited to one joke. Studio Kinggath Creations has put together a full-fledged mission with two new IKEA-themed dungeons and a boss battle called Clutter Golem.
The addition includes thematic equipment:
-
Dwemer Allen Key as a weapon
-
Meatball Helmet
-
edible meatballs to restore strength
IKEA spokeswoman Kemi Anthony:
At IKEA, we believe in creating a better everyday life for many people, and why shouldn’t that include their digital lives? Skyrim has one of the largest modding communities in the industry, and we saw a space where our expertise in functional storage could make a real difference in this fantasy world.
Matt Berry’s distinctive, legendary voice brings theatricality, thunderous authority and charm to the new addition. By bringing Kallax to life, we hope to not only create something meaningful for Skyrim players, but also add some of IKEA’s signature playfulness to delight gamers who have long been overwhelmed by too much stuff.
This is not Berry’s first job in games. His voice is spoken by Bane in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, as well as one of the characters in the British adventure Thank Goodness You’re Here!, released in 2024.
The actor’s schedule is busy outside the gaming industry. Next year he will appear in two films at once, Sonic 4 and the sequel Minecraft the Movies, and this year he will play Fish in the film adaptation of The Cat in the Hat with Bill Hader.
