Back in October 2014, a small studio called Mojo Bones started a fundraising campaign for their game on the famous Kickstarter site. Their goal was $95,000, but at the end of the fundraiser they were only able to raise $21,000. After such a failure on Kickstarter, nothing was heard about the new game. However, on November 30, 2016, the news appeared on the Internet that Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe would become the publisher of the game, according to an agreement with the publisher, the main concept of the game did not change.

Mojo Bones promised to release their offspring on April 12, but the day before announced a new date – May 23. The reason is simple: during the development of impact winter, the torrent has grown greatly, turned into a complex beast with a lot of mechanics and systems. The authors want to make sure that the first stages of the game are not overloaded, and the passage is generally even and balanced. This took a few more weeks. On the other hand, according to the studio Mojo Bones, testers leave extremely positive feedback. The game has evolved over the years into something completely unique. Therefore, it’s definitely not worth it to grieve about an extra month of waiting – the delay will go exclusively for the good.

The plot of the new game is as follows. A large asteroid suddenly crashed into Earth. Due to the collision, just a huge layer of dust immediately rose into the air. Soon he blocked the sun, in connection with which the so-called endless winter began throughout the planet. The player assumes the role of Jacob Solomon. This man must support his friends, hold out for thirty days and wait for the help promised by the mysterious message on the radio.

Jacob has to:

• Regularly delve into the snow-covered wilds in a difficult search for resources.
• Along the way, fight off a variety of potential threats.

Fortunately, his friends are also not born with a bastard. Each of them has knowledge in a particular area. In addition, Jacob has a high-tech multifunctional robot AKO-LIGHT at his disposal. And it can be improved.
