Studio IO Interactive, known for the Hitman series, will act as the publisher of the new ambitious project MindsEye. The game is being developed by the Build a Rocket Boy team, founded by former Rockstar North head Leslie Benzies. The project is being created on the Unreal Engine 5 and promises to be a sci-fi AAA action game with a deep story and innovative game mechanics.
MindsEye takes place in the USA of the near future. The main character is Jacob Diaz, a former soldier suffering from memory loss and flashbacks due to a mysterious implant. Players must help him uncover the secrets of his past by taking part in secret missions in a world under threat from artificial intelligence, technological experimentation, and political corruption. The developers promise a rich narrative, carefully crafted locations, the ability to control vehicles, as well as an innovative combat system and exciting cinematic cutscenes.
