The developers of the fighting game Tekken 8 have published a trailer for a character named King. The basis for the fighter was the Japanese wrestler Satoru Sayama, known under the pseudonym Tiger Mask, and the Mexican wrestler Frae Tormenta, who was a Catholic priest and put on a wrestler’s mask to raise money for an orphanage.
In fact, there are two characters in the series under the name King, and both wear a jaguar mask. The first of these appeared in Tekken 1 and Tekken 2, and its successor is playable starting from the 3rd part.
“You don’t need a crown to be king,” reads the caption for the video.
Tekken 8 is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but a release date has yet to be announced.
