The South Korean company Krafton has officially announced the development of a mobile version of the Palworld sandbox. We wrote earlier that vacancies related to this project were noticed on the company’s official website, and the creation of a mobile adaptation has already been going on for some time. A team formed within PUBG STUDIOS is responsible for the development.
According to a short press release, “the project will be faithfully ported and adapted to the mobile environment, while maintaining key elements of the original game.”
As for the litigation between Pocketpair, the authors of Palworld and Nintendo, who sued for violation of “several patent rights,” Krafton did not comment on the situation at the time of writing this news. However, South Korean media previously reported that the company has already familiarized itself with the details of the case and is aware of all processes.
Palworld is a sandbox survival game set in a world filled with creatures called Pals. In the first month of Early Access, which launched in January 2024, the project attracted the attention of more than 25 million players on PC and Xbox. And the version for PlayStation 5 was released on September 25, 2024.
