Dragami Games has announced the postponement of the release date for the Lollipop Chainsaw remake. Initially, the project was planned to be released before the end of 2023, but now the release should be expected only in 2024.
In addition, the developers have revealed the official name of the remake. The game will be called Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. Unfortunately, the list of platforms is still unknown.
“While RePOP was developed with a 2023 release in mind, our commitment to providing players with the best possible experience has led us to make the difficult decision to extend the development timeline,” Dragami Games said in a press release. “We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been waiting for the release of Lollipop Chainsaw and ask for your understanding.”
The original Lollipop Chainsaw, developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, was released on June 12, 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
