NetEase Games in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is set to release the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened card-based RPG in a limited number of countries. The soft launch will primarily take place in Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. A global launch is expected later. The exact dates have not been disclosed.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened takes place two years after the Second Magic War. You play as your own character who received a letter from Hogwarts, but at the same time you can meet familiar characters, including Harry himself. The combat system is a mixture of turn-based strategy and collectible card game.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is being developed for PC and mobile devices running iOS and Android. In honor of the imminent soft launch, the developers have published a new trailer below.
