NEXON published the first release of Vindictus: Defying Fate developer diaries in several months, in which it reported on progress and announced plans for the development of the project. The authors said that over the past months the team has been actively working to improve the combat system and introduce features to improve the gameplay experience based on player feedback.
One of the main tasks was to eliminate optimization problems that most alpha testing participants complained about. To achieve this, a special cross-team working group has been formed to find and test solutions to ensure a more stable gaming experience.
It won’t be possible without new content. In particular, a new playable character named Arisha is being developed. She is a magical swordswoman and uses the power of “mana”. In the world of Vindictus: Defying Fate, mana is a mystical resource that the heroine uses to strengthen her blade during battle.
Arisha’s fighting style will be different from all previously introduced characters. She is currently actively refining every aspect of her design, from her appearance to her feel in combat, to polish the character as much as possible. Due to the incomplete development stage, specific timing or order of release cannot be announced at this time.
In order to interact more closely with the community, the developers are planning to hold the first AMA session in the official Vindictus: Defying Fate Discord channel in November. Key developers and community managers will be answering questions from players and gathering their opinions. The exact schedule and details of participation will be announced later.
