In Andromeda Mass Effect, you will pass through several planets, and each of them will be a threat to your character. This is due to the level of danger of the planet. The danger makes some areas extremely difficult to pass through, while others are inaccessible. This manifests itself differently for each planet, namely:
Eos – here you will find simple radiation. In addition, sometimes you will stumble upon electrical discharges.
Voeld – cold.
Kadara is toxic water.
Elaaden – warm.
H-047C – radiation that prevents the group from leaving NOMAD.
Apart from the planet H-047C, where the level of radiation prevents a group of players from even leaving NOMAD, traveling on the surface of other planets will simply drain your character’s life support – you can check the state of life support. in the bottom right corner of the screen, but it only appears when entering a dangerous environment. Once life support is completely depleted, you will lose all your shields and start losing health. If you fail to find a place where you can replenish life support, your character will eventually die. Some places, such as the shaded areas on Elaaden and the areas around the forward stations, will protect you from dangers – your character will restore life support near them.
Hazards affect the life support system in different ways. Level 1 Hazard will slowly drain it, but as levels increase, the rate at which life support is depleted – Level 3 will take a few seconds to get through, while Level 4 drains it instantly on any contact (which happens, for example, on the planet Kadara when you enter some of the poisonous pools).
The level of danger can be reduced by increasing the viability of the planet. Each point of the vitality of the planet will have a positive impact on it. However, finding, clearing, and activating the Remnant Vault has the most impact. Upon activation, conditions on the planet will change drastically – water on planet Kadara won’t kill you once you enter it, and previously inaccessible landscapes on other planets will now be virtually harmless to your character.
