HoYoverse held the promised live stream, during which they presented the next major update 4.0 for Genshin Impact, dubbed “Like a light rain for no reason.” The update will be released on August 16, 2023 and will bring with it the fifth realm in the Fontaine game.
Fontaine is located northeast of the Sumeru Desert and is subject to the Goddess of Justice Focalors. Of course, it will not do without new opponents to fight in Fontaine. In the Ice Wind Suite challenge, players must choose one of two themes and then face off against a pair of Meks that perform powerful Cryo attacks based on figure skating and dance elements. Another new boss awaits in the underwater cave. Armored Crab King “Emperor of Fire and Iron” has excellent defense and can deliver brutal Pyro attacks with his body organs.
In patch 4.0, there will be three new characters that are members of the same family:
- Lini (5★, Pyro, bow) – Older brother and well-known illusionist in Fontaine. Demonstrates magic tricks with the Pyro element, and also transforms into a Laughing Cat Hat and sets off fireworks in battle.
