Publisher Com2uS has completed a deal to transfer the rights to the MMORPG Zenonia Chronobreak to VALOFE, a publisher that specializes in “reanimating” problematic online projects. The decision comes immediately after Com2uS disbanded the game’s internal development team. The portal reports this MTN with reference to their sources.
According to the publication, VALOFE acquired the full package of rights to Zenonia from Com2uS, including:
- Intellectual rights and game resources.
- Right to further development.
- The right to conduct services and commercial activities.
Previously, Com2uS disbanded RAON Studio, which was responsible for the creation and post-release support of the project. The team was formed from employees of Gamevil (now Com2uS Holdings), who took part in the development of the series from the first parts.
Despite the fact that Zenonia is one of Gamevil’s most famous brands, the large investment in the series’ transition to the mobile MMORPG format did not live up to expectations: the game did not achieve its planned targets, and the development team was gradually reduced until the division was completely closed.
