Microsoft has released the latest update for Windows 10 2019

Microsoft is scheduled to update Windows 10 at least twice a month with a variety of minor improvements and fixes. These updates fix bugs, add small features, fix security holes, and regularly introduce new issues for some users.

Interestingly, KB5000850 will be the last update for Windows 10 version 1909. Unlike the mandatory monthly “Tuesday update” with security fixes, this optional update can be skipped and will not be automatically installed on the PC unless the user explicitly provides permission for Windows Update.

The update itself fixes numerous bugs, including a two-year problem with filters in File Explorer search, which appeared in the OS just after the release of Windows 10 1909. It also fixes one of the problems with Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge, the problem with failing USB 3.0 hubs, and so on.

As a reminder, from May 11, 2021, technical support for Windows 10 version 1909 or November 2019 Update, a major update that was released in November 2019, will end. After that, Microsoft will stop releasing updates for this version of the OS, including security updates.
