NCSOFT’s MMORPG AION 2 received the prestigious Game of G-STAR 2025 award, which is awarded annually by the best gaming journalists in South Korea. The award is given to a game showcased at G-STAR based on its quality, innovation and overall performance.
The award ceremony took place on December 1 at the NCSoft R&D center in Pangyo. The event was attended by key game development leaders including Kim Nam Joon, development manager, and Seo In Seop, head of business.
“Thanks to the interest and response of users, AION 2 was able to become the winner of Game of G-STAR 2025. We will continue to develop the project and make it even better,” Kim Nam Joon.
“AION 2 received an overwhelming response from players upon launch. We hope that NCSOFT can restore its reputation as a leader in the MMORPG genre and once again become a studio that gamers trust,” Seo In Seop.
The Game of G-STAR award has been held since 2018 and is awarded based on voting results from professional gaming journalists. Criteria such as gameplay, graphics, plot, originality and the overall degree of readiness of the project are taken into account.
