Developers from Stormhaven Studios reported that the MMORPG Embers Adrift may appear on the Steam service by December 1, 2024. Currently under review by Valve. This was reported in one of the latest posts in the official Discord server of the game.
The decision to add the game to Steam is related to the severance of relations with Digital River, a payment service that was a financial intermediary between players and developers. The former partner did not transfer money for several months and put Stormhaven Studios in a difficult financial situation. Developers about this reported back on October 29th. At the same time, the game became temporarily free until all payment problems were resolved.
Embers Adrift is an indie MMORPG focused on group PvE, social interaction between players, challenging dungeons and exploration of a large open world. The project is distributed according to the Buy-to-Play model with an optional premium subscription.
