Mmorpg The Lord of the Rings Online is faced with technical problems when starting 64-bit servers

The developers of MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online recently started the process of transferring players to new 64-bit servers, but the launch was not as smooth as expected. Due to the huge influx of users, the system I could not do it With the load, which caused failures and forced the command to make changes to the schedule.

Since March 4, 2025, the authors planned to open the possibility of free transfer of characters from the obsolete 32-bit servers to new 64-bit worlds. However, serious problems have already arisen at the start. Initially, the system had to be temporarily disabled, since the old servers went offline, making the transfer impossible. When the opportunity was opened, the flow of the players was so large that the system simply could not withstand the load and collapsed.

To cope with the situation, the Lord of the Rings Online team first suspended access to the transfer tool so that the servers can process the applications that have already received. Later they again opened access, and also extended the period of free transfer.

Despite the measures taken, in the official forums of The Lord of the Rings Online, players continue to complain about various problems. For example, some characters, despite confirmation of transfer, still remain on old servers. Some users still expect to process their request or simply cannot initiate a transfer. Therefore, one can only hope that errors will be corrected in the near future.
