MMORPG with sandbox elements Fractured Online became free

Dynamight Studios has announced that the sandbox MMORPG Fractured Online will now be distributed under a Free-to-Play model. The game can be downloaded for free through the service Steam and evaluate all available content.

As the developers of Fractured Online explained, the reason for changing the business model was the low cost ($15), which did not generate significant income. In addition, the need to pay for the game acted as a barrier to attracting new users, which made it difficult to compete with free projects.

All game buyers received 1 month of VIP subscription as compensation. In addition, owners of the Eternal Founder Pack, which already includes an eternal VIP, can count on premium currency in the amount of 3,750 tokens.

With the transition to Free-to-Play, the in-game store became the team’s only source of income. However, the developers noted that Pay-to-Win elements will not appear in Fractured Online. The only change to the monetization model is the introduction of a second reward track for VIP players participating in Seasons, in addition to the regular one. Founder’s Packs have been renamed Supporter Packs, but their contents remain unchanged.

The game has also launched its first season, which will last 90 days. Players can earn fame by completing daily quests, participating in fortress conquests, completing PvP and PvE challenges, and crafting artifacts. This allows you to level up the season and receive various rewards such as crafting materials, runes, gold, artifact schematics, tokens, and so on.
