After a long break, Perfect World is going to conduct the next closed beta testing of the MMORPG World of Jade Dynasty. The authors explained such a long delay as work on porting the game to the Unreal Engine 5.
The new stage of testing will begin on December 29, 2023 and will last for 10 days until January 8, 2024. It will take place only in China, and 10,000 invited users will be able to take part. Applications will open soon.
During the test, players will be able to evaluate not only the updated graphics, but also a lot of new content. The developers have added several new dungeons, including the most difficult dungeons, designed for 10-20 players. PvP fans will find a super-scale battlefield of 200 vs 200. Various secrets have also appeared in the open world to make exploring it more interesting.
In addition, the studio shared some very interesting news. It has become known that World of Jade Dynasty will be distributed using a subscription model. To access the servers you will need to pay for a month of the game. The developers reported that they “managed to convince management” to make such a business model. However, it still won’t be possible without microtransactions, but the in-game store will only allow you to buy a battle pass and cosmetic items.
