The long silence surrounding the third-person MOBA Ethereal: Clash of Souls, whose development was suspended last October due to lack of funding, has finally been broken. It became known that all rights to the project were officially transferred from Undying Games to the Menhir Interactive studio. The game is once again entering the active production stage, so we should expect news soon.
The developers emphasize that this is not about a complete restart of Ethereal: Clash of Souls, but about obtaining the necessary resources to complete the game, which even had a playable build at the time of cancellation. The core of the team remained the same, and the creators of the original concept (Owen and Kai) retained their positions as consultants so that the project did not lose the original idea.
In recent weeks, new executives have conducted a full audit of the game’s mechanics and are now ready to resume production at full capacity. In the coming days, the official website will be updated, where a public road map will appear. Using it, users will be able to track which mechanics are currently being worked on and what is planned to be added in the future.
Instead of rare announcements, the authors promise to switch to regular reports. The plans include monthly videos demonstrating progress and debriefings in blogs. The main emphasis now is on transparency of development, so that the community understands exactly what stage the project is at and when to expect the next major stages.
