Mobile game Tales of Luminaria will close in July

Bandai Namco has decided to shut down the Tales of Luminaria jRPG, the first original mobile game in the Tales of franchise. Worldwide servers will be permanently shut down on July 20 at 02:00 Moscow time. Recall that the release took place only six months ago, in November 2021.

According to the developers, the reason for the closure is that they were never able to make the game exciting enough to bring it to a wide audience around the world. The main storyline will end halfway through, but in order to somehow complete the story, the team will release an update at the end of May with the final episode, which will unfold right before the events of the Tales of Luminaria: The Fateful Crossroad anime series.

Bandai Namco is currently considering archiving character data so that players can return to the Tales of Luminaria universe after the servers go down. An official soundtrack with background music from the game is also being prepared.
