The developers of the free game engine Nau Engine reported that over the past three months they have received a total of more than 8,000 applications to participate in testing. Among those who registered were both aspiring game creators and current IT specialists. The test itself will begin at the end of 2023, and you can still apply at official website.
Nau Engine aroused great interest among developers. More than 70% of applications for testing came from people directly working in the field of game creation, including programmers and game designers. Moreover, 75% of them specialize in creating MMORPG, RPG, racing, shooters and sandboxes.
“The engine is being built as a free, reliable, open source tool for developers, so a critical part of working on Nau Engine is engaging with the community and collecting feedback from future users. At the first stage, we will limit the circle of testers in order to be able to efficiently process the received comments and focus on key queries. We thank everyone who shares their opinion and expresses a desire to be part of the development process,” said Alexander Myasishchev, director of the Nau Engine project.
Nau Engine is a free and open source game engine designed to meet the needs of developers at every stage of game creation and development. It is accessible to professionals of any level and can be used to create games for PC, mobile devices and browsers. Nau Engine provides a powerful set of tools, including a convenient editor, sample projects and ready-made game systems. The engine also offers tools for integrating with platforms and creating meta-game systems such as content updates, seasons, communities and ratings.
