Usually, a large number of different games are released during the autumn period of the year, and 2023 will be no exception. In the September selection, we really collected a lot of projects with multiplayer, so in order not to stretch the article too much, we will go through them only briefly. So let’s see what gamers will be playing in September 2023.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis
On mobile devices running iOS and Android, RPG Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be released on September 7, uniting all the games in the universe. At launch, players will have access to two campaigns – from the original Final Fantasy VII and the prequel Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII – as well as a completely new original story related to Sephiroth. In the future, the developers plan to add content from other projects, including the games Before Crisis and Dirge of Cerberus, as well as the animated film Advent Children.
In addition to the storyline, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will have a cooperative mode in which three players will have to fight various powerful bosses.
NBA 2K24
NBA 2K24 is the latest installment in the basketball game, releasing September 8 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch with cross-platform multiplayer support. In this game, you can play as your favorite players and teams from the NBA and WNBA, as well as create your character and develop his career in MyCAREER mode. MythForce
MythForce is a first-person action roguelike game inspired by 80s cartoons. As you explore the dungeons, you can level up, unlock magical artifacts, and unlock upgrades to become stronger each time you play. It will be possible to play both alone and in a cooperative of four people. The game will release on September 12, 2023 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
The Crew Motorfest
On September 14, Ubisoft will release The Crew Motorfest multiplayer arcade racing game. The game will be available on PC, Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
In The Crew Motorfest, players will travel to Hawaii, where the city streets of Honolulu, ashy volcano slopes, dense rainforests, winding mountain roads and a sunny beach await them. According to the developers, the project will allow players to realize all their driving desires through a series of specially designed races, themed events and other unique challenges.
Super Bomberman R2
Together with The Crew Motorfest, a new Bomberman game called SUPER BOMBERMAN R 2 will be released on September 14. The platforms are the same: PC, Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Super Bomberman R 2 is a continuation of the multiplayer arcade Super Bomberman R Online, released in 2018. The game features both the familiar Standard, Grand Prix and Battle 64 modes, as well as a completely new one called Castle, in which players are divided into attackers and defenders to fight for treasure. In addition, players can go through the story mode and create their own level through the map editor.
Mortal Kombat 1
NetherRealm Studios will release a new fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 on September 19. And the number “1” in the title will not be accidental, because the next part of the famous franchise will be a kind of restart. The developers promise an improved combat system, new modes and fatalities. However, the main innovation of the game will be the mechanics of the so-called cameo fighters. These are special characters that do not take part in battles, but can help players in every possible way with their abilities and techniques. The novelty will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
Men of War II
Men of War II has come a long way from the free strategy Soldiers: Arena to a full-fledged sequel to the well-known RTS series Behind Enemy Lines. The release is expected on September 20 on PC.
At launch, Men of War II will include three single-player story campaigns featuring fictional stories set against the backdrop of historical events, and two additional campaigns with modified rules. Also, players will be able to delve deeper into historical operations through a series of connected missions based on real battles. For fans of multiplayer will be offered 20 maps, 5 modes for PVE and 13 modes for PVP.
Payday 3
September 21 will see the release of Payday 3, the sequel to the successful cooperative first-person shooter game Payday 2, released in 2013. The game will be available on PC and current generation consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while Game Pass subscribers can play for free.
In general, the gameplay of Payday 3 will remain exactly the same, but with some improvements – for example, in the progression system, opponents, balance, and so on. You can choose different ways to complete tasks, from covert penetration to open combat.
Wildmender
Desert survival and gardening co-op sim Wildmender will release on September 28, 2023 on PC and current-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has a cartoonish style and features a procedurally generated world that makes every adventure unique. Alone or in a group of four, you will have to collect and grow plants, create and use tools, and learn the secrets of a lost civilization.
Disney Speed Storm
Disney’s Speedstorm racing arcade will leave early access, which began back in April, and get to a full release on September 28th. At the same time, the game, as promised by the developers earlier, will be free. The project is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, and will also appear on mobile devices running iOS and Android.
Disney Speedstorm is a clone of Mario Kart but with characters from the Disney universes like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mulan, Sally and more. The game has a variety of tracks, each of which is dedicated to a particular cartoon. In the main modes, there is pumping, but in the custom ones, all characters are open from the very beginning and are balanced.
EA Sports FC 24
EA Sports FC 24 is the name of the new part of the series of football simulators from Electronic Arts, since the company has lost the rights to the FIFA brand. The game will release on September 29, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
One of the new features of EA Sports FC 24 will be the ability to recreate individual moments of matches. According to EA, players will be able to record gameplay from matches, and then represent the highlights in the form of game challenges that players have to solve. The Champions League will move from FIFA to EA Sports FC 24 along with the English Premier League and some others. The game promises more than 19 thousand licensed players, more than 700 teams and more than 30 football leagues.
Saleblazers
Saleblazers, a multiplayer survival sim set on a dangerous island, will be released on PC on September 29th. Alone or with friends, you have to create a cozy family coffee shop and build complex megamalls. Fans of calm gameplay will be able to farm and fish to start a trading empire, but hardcore fans will have the option to enable PvP invasions on their servers. Initially, the game will appear in the stage of early access, and a full release is expected in about a year.
