Rumors about the development of a remake of the first part of The Last of Us dilogy have been circulating for a long time, and recently even a trailer leaked online. Now, during the presentation of the Summer Game Fest 2022, Naughty Dog made an official announcement. The updated version will be called The Last of Us Part I and will be released on September 2, 2022. Initially, the game will appear on the PlayStation 5, but later it will be ported to the PC.
In the remake, the developers not only improved the graphics, but also modernized the gameplay, improved the controls and expanded the accessibility options in single-player mode so that even more people could enjoy the game. Effects, research and combat have also been improved. The PS5 version added support for 3D audio, haptic effects, and adaptive triggers.
Naughty Dog also showed the first art of the multiplayer project in The Last of Us universe. The first details are promised to be revealed only in 2023.
