The regular weekly technical work in the MMORPG Throne and Liberty unexpectedly brought a number of interesting changes to the game. Some of them were announced a few days before the update, and some came as a surprise, especially after the developers said that they would concentrate on fixing the accumulated bugs and errors in the game.
Let’s start with the fact that the developers have added a new cooperative dungeon, Mansion of Tragedy. It can be accessed by characters at level 55 and with equipment level of at least 3500. The reward will be gloves from the new equipment sets that were added to the game with the introduction of the Talandre region.
The value of PvP arenas has been increased through weekly challenges and season rewards. For completing tasks you will receive the Arena Coin currency, for which you can buy useful items from a special NPC. The weekly limit for this currency is 6 pieces. This amount is enough to purchase two things a week, which will not affect the server economy in any way, but may be useful to players.
The first season of the arena will end on December 4, 2024, and the rewards for it will be unique transformations, titles, avatar frames and Arena Coins. The higher you rise in the ranking, the more valuable the reward. For example, the top 100 best players will receive three transformations, a unique Arena’s Myth S1 title and 45 Arena Coin.
The biggest and most unexpected change was the reworking of two local events. Festival of Fire and Requiem of Light are now played in co-op mode with shared rewards instead of PvE mode with individual rewards. The developers have prepared unique scenarios in which players will have to complete several sequential tasks to receive a reward.
At the moment, the game already has 4 local events held in cooperative mode, and, judging by the statements of the developers, they do not intend to stop there.
Starting September 4, the game began to implement paid character transfer between servers on an ongoing basis. Previously, such an opportunity appeared only temporarily. The service price is KRW 29,000 per transfer. In honor of this event, all players were given the opportunity to use it once for free. However, this generous offer is valid for only one week – until September 10, 2024.
Other changes include:
- Increased health points for all field bosses in the Talandre region.
- The scale reflecting immunity to the imposition of negative statuses now fills faster, but at the same time the accumulated value decreases faster, and the immunity itself is applied for only 1.5 seconds.
- Added two dishes to the cooking menu.
- Now your contribution to killing PvE bosses does not decrease upon death. On PvP bosses the penalty still applies.
- Many game bugs have been fixed.
- As part of the Milestone system, several new events will appear in the game in the near future and access to the open-type dungeon Bercant Mansion will open.
