Google has summarized the results of its Project Treble and a number of other steps designed to accelerate the distribution of updates to the Android operating system.
Google’s efforts were not in vain – Android 11, which debuted in September, became the fastest OS in terms of adoption speed. Thus, it broke the record of last year’s Android 10.
The graph below shows that the number of active users of Android 11 is arriving faster than Android 10 in the same time since its release. Note that we are talking about the number of devices and not about the market share as a percentage. Thus, even though Android 11 already has more active users than Android 10 last year, the market could and should have grown, and the share of Android 11 is not yet clear.
