Amazon Games published articlein which she revealed details of the upcoming open beta testing of the multiplayer role-playing action game New World: Aeternum. This stage will begin on September 13 (19:00 Moscow time) and will last until September 16 (19:00 Moscow time). The client will be available to pre-download starting September 9 (19:00 Moscow time).
Testing will take place on both PC and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The servers will be common to all platforms and will be located in North America, South America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
OBT participants will be able to receive rewards depending on the level reached, but they will only be available on the platform on which you played (cross-progression support is not announced). These items will be transferred to the full version after release:
- Participation in the test – Title “Aeternian Trailblazer”
- Level 10 – Vambrace of the Aeternian Adventurer Gloves
- Level 15 – Jackboots of the Aeternian Adventurer Shoes
- Level 20 – Britches of the Aeternian Adventurer Leggings
- Level 25 – Tricorn of the Aeternian Adventurer headdress and Greatcoat of the Aeternian Adventurer chest piece.
The maximum level at this stage will be limited to 30, so the content will be adapted to this cap. Among other things, players will be able to appreciate the following:
- Arena – PvP battles in the 3 vs 3 format. Unlocks at level 20.
- Amrine Excavation Expedition – An excavation site west of the Temple of Amrine, where the famous archaeologist Simon Gray and his team have been missing for some time. Players must venture into the depths of this troubled dig site to discover their fate and discover what happened to the Ancient technology they found. Recommended level: 25.
- Mounts – Travel Aethernum faster, express yourself, and take on time trials with customizable mounts. You will also have to master horse riding skills. Unlocked at level 20.
- Factions – You can join the Covenant, Marauders or Syndicate. Each faction is unshakable in its beliefs, and your allegiance will determine your allies in joint activities. Together you can complete quests, fight dangers in the open world, and even create a company. Advance within your faction to earn additional rewards. Your teammates can gift you equipment to make your progress easier, or revive you through random encounters while traveling to your next destination. Unlocks at level 17.
- Pursuit of Influence – Capture towers of influence and destroy enemy factions in PvP battles for territorial supremacy in the open world.
Neither console will require a subscription to participate in the open beta (Xbox Game Pass Core and PlayStation Plus Essential), with the exception of German players on PlayStation 5. However, a subscription will still be required after the release of New World: Aeternum. Of course, this does not apply to PC players.
New World: Aeternum will be translated into the following languages:
- Voice acting, interface and subtitles: English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil)
- Interface and subtitles: Polish, Italian, Spanish (Latin America)
The in-game store for real money will no longer be available, and all accumulated progress will be deleted after the end of the test.
Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players who pre-order New World: Aeternum, as well as PC players who purchase the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, will receive the Azoth Stalker Wolf Mount as a bonus. To unlock it, PC players must join the server with one of their characters after the announcement of New World: Aeternum on June 7, 2024 and before October 15, 2024 (09:59 UTC).
