Nexon has renamed the upcoming content creation platform, previously known under the working title Project MOD. The Korean giant has confirmed that the project will henceforth be known as MapleStory Worlds.
MapleStory Worlds is a complete ROBLOX-style sandbox where users can create their own modes and play together with other people. The developers promise to fully support the content authors to help them discover their ideas.
“The goal of MapleStory Worlds is for players to be able to enjoy being creative, building their own worlds, and coming up with new ideas,” said Kim Dae-hoon, vice president of Nexon.
The first version of MapleStory Worlds is scheduled to launch on September 1 exclusively in South Korea, but in the future the platform will appear in the global market.
