EA Sports announced the release of the new NHL 22 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. This time, the hockey simulator changed its engine and received fresh features, such as abilities for stars and others.
For the first time in a long time, the project changed the engine to the new Frostbite, which is also used in other EA sports simulators. It allowed for a higher level of detail, animations and environment display. Also, the developers “entered” the interface into the game world, thereby increasing the atmosphere inside the game.
In terms of abilities for hockey stars, the system has been dubbed the “X-Factor Superstar.” All the skills created for the strongest hockey players were based on their real data. Back in early December, the game will receive the Roster Sharing feature, allowing you to share your best player packs for use in Franchise mode.
