Square Enix plans to move Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent outside of Japan.
If you’re a fan of pixelated jRPGs, Champions of the Continent should be a hit. This was officially announced by the developers through Twitter. They mentioned North America and Europe, and we know from the experience of NieR Re[in]carnation that the CIS and Russia are not included in the deal.
In mid-February, Square Enix will reveal more details regarding Champions of the Continent’s “almost global release”. A closed beta test is due this spring, so subscribe to keep up to date with the latest news and file.
Fights in Octopath Traveler are turn-based, with a maximum of 8 people in our group. Be sure to bring a device with a large screen, because the interface is crammed with information about each character. The question remains whether Square Enix will hold events in Asia and the West at the same time, and will Western players receive some kind of compensation for the wait?
