Oppo has unveiled the new OPPO A55 5G smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It has support for 5G communication and a large amount of memory: 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal. The latter can be expanded up to 1 TB using microSD.
Despite the budget of this phone, it runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 interface. The front panel has a 6.5-inch screen; The LCD with a 1600 x 720 pixels resolution allows you to see an ultra-clear picture. The refresh rate and touch sampling are 60Hz, and the NTSC system supports 71% of the colour gamut, the pixel density is 269, the contrast ratio is 1500: 1, and the maximum brightness is 480 nits.
The device boasts a 5000mAh battery with 10W support, the 8MP Snapper front camera is presented in a waterdrop notch, and three vertically aligned cameras are installed on the back surface, consisting of the following lenses: a 13MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP lens—MP for portraits.
The device is large enough in size – 163.9 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm, weight 186 g. The smartphone is presented in two colours: blue and black. As for the price, it is very reasonable – 1599 pounds. OPPO A55 5G is currently available for pre-order in China. The smartphone may hit global markets in the coming days, as phones based on MediaTek chipsets have already started selling outside China.
