The late actor Paul Walker may appear in the final installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise thanks to artificial intelligence technology. This possibility was suggested by the brother of actor Cody Walker.

Cody, along with his brother Caleb, had already filled in for Paul during the filming of Furious 7 when the actor died in a car accident in 2013. However, he does not want to repeat this experience and said that the decision should depend on Paul’s daughter, Meadow Walker.

He noted that Brian O’Connor had already concluded the story “beautifully” by raising the children outside the plot. According to him, now he or Caleb are not necessarily needed to return Paul: over the years of filming the franchise, a huge amount of unused material with Paul has accumulated.

AI didn’t exist in 2014, so they can do this. Over the years, there has been a lot of unused footage from other Fast and Furious films. They are the best at what they do and will be able to come up with something.

Vin Diesel also spoke about Brian’s return earlier. In June 2025, the actor revealed that he agreed to the Fast and the Furious ending under three conditions: it had to return to Los Angeles, the film had to refocus on street racing and car culture, and Dominic Toretto had to reunite with O’Connor.

The final Fast and the Furious film has not yet received an official title. Diesel previously named April 2027 as his desired premiere date.
