Poco M3 was officially unveiled yesterday, becoming the third member of its most affordable smartphone family. The device immediately attracts attention with its striking design – the screen almost completely occupies the front panel’s surface. It contrasts with the large rectangular camera island on the rear panel. The rest of the back has a textured, anti-fingerprint finish and comes in three colors – Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow.
The most important feature of the Poco M3 is the huge 6000mAh battery… It supports 18W charging and even charges other 18W devices with a suitable cable. Poco takes pride in its battery, calling it the largest in the M3 class. The company says it supports up to 5 days of light use, up to 3 days of moderate use, and a day and a half of heavy use. Some users will also appreciate the manufacturers’ claims of 2 and a half years of battery use without noticeable degradation.
On the front is a 6.53 ” IPS FHD + LCD with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, protected from mechanical damage by Gorilla Glass 3… There is a waterdrop notch on the top for the 8MP selfie camera.
On the back is a triple camera consisting of a 48MP main sensor with 0.8μm pixels (1.6μm in 12MP mode) and an f / 1.79 lens, a dedicated 2MP f / 2.4 macro, and a 2MP f / 2.4 depth sensor.
Poco M3 has an 11nm chipset under the hood, Snapdragon 662 with 4 GB of RAM. The storage capacity can be 64 GB or 128 GB. The Poco M3 is equipped with stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and infrared.
Poco M3 comes pre-installed with Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 custom interface and Poco launcher. Xiaomi promises to update the M3 to Android 11 over time.
The Poco M3 will go on sale in the US on Black Friday, November 27th. Special discounted prices will apply first – $ 129 for the 4/64 GB version and $ 149 for the 4/128 GB model… Poco M3 will be $ 149 and $ 169, respectively… In Europe, sales will begin on November 30. The Poco M3 with 64GB of memory can be purchased for 149 euros, with 128GB – for 169 euros.
