Some Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra users report that WhatsApp Web gets disconnected from their smartphones frequently… After disconnecting the WhatsApp web client, the following message is displayed:
The issue could be due to aggressive battery optimization
This problem may be related with energy optimization methodwhich Samsung has used for this series battery. It lies in the fact that unused applications are put into sleep mode when the phone screen is locked, and this prevents the application from receiving notifications in real time. In the WhatsApp FAQ section, tech support explains that the disconnect problem occurs when the internet connection is unstable, or when the smartphone closes an application that is running in the background.
Despite disabling the battery optimization feature, allowing background network activity (even in battery saver mode) and reinstalling WhatsApp on your Galaxy S21 series smartphone, some users still face the problem of disabling the messenger… Some users have even tried a factory reset to check if the problem persists, but to no avail.
Some of the owners of Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Ultra and even Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphones face this problem, some do not. Some users claim that this the problem got worse on Galaxy phones with updates to Android 11 and One UI 3.1… For the sake of fairness, we note that this problem was also found on smartphones from other manufacturers.
Samsung recently topped the list of Android smartphone OEMs. who practice aggressively disabling background apps on their devices… Google does not recommend using this battery saver, but most Android OEMs still do it to maximize battery life.
