The Japanese Cygames studio has released the Shadowverse collection card: Worlds Beond, which is a continuation of the original Shadowverse CCG, released in 2016. The project is available for free on PC through services Steam And Epic Games Storeas well as on mobile devices running iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
The release of Shadowverse: Worlds Beond can be called successful if you look only at the number of players. At the time of writing this news, the online peak was 66.826, which is an excellent result for this genre. Moreover, this indicator, apparently, continues to grow.
However, despite the high online, reviews on Shadowverse: Worlds Beond leave much to be desired. Now the game has 877 reviews in Steam, of which only 31% are positive. The main claim – the sequel has become more greedy compared to the last part. The game has more Pay-to-Win elements, and collecting sets for free is now much more difficult. The developers themselves did not comment on the situation, so it is not yet clear whether the changes will be made.
Shadowverse: Worlds Beond brings new mechanics to the game, including a super-evolution that gives units +3 to attack and protection, a jerk, immunity to drop and destruction during the owner’s move, as well as the opportunity to apply additional damage to the enemy leader. A bonus game point system for the second player has been introduced, the rules of evolution were updated, as well as the Shadowverse Park, which has become a social platform with guilds, tournaments and custom -made avatars, has been redesigned. The players limited the analysis of cards, but added more ways to get packs. In addition, the cards will now be released more often – once every 1-1.5 months until August, then once every two months.
