The Snapdragon 888 is Qualcomm’s most advanced chipset. It has a built-in third-generation 5G module, which is becoming a standard, especially for Chinese smartphones. Also, here is the sixth generation of artificial intelligence, which gives more performance and, at the same time, efficiently uses the battery of the mobile device. Snapdragon Elite Gaming is not going anywhere, which offers updatable drivers and up to 144 FPS in games. Also, this technology supports the Vulkan 1.1 graphics library, the name of which may be familiar to PC gamers.
Snapdragon 888 helps out in typical applications and video games and when shooting – 120 photos per second with a resolution of 12 MP. To demonstrate the capabilities of the new chipset, Qualcomm held a radio-controlled car race. They were controlled by pilots who were 1.6 km away. And all this thanks to the 5G network.
Major smartphone manufacturers (Xiaomi, Samsung, OnePlus, and others) are expected to start producing and selling flagships with Snapdragon 888 on board in the first quarter of 2021.
