Quinfall Preview – Developers, Story, Combat, Classes, Crafting, PvP, Graphics, Release Date

At the end of January 2023, the MMORPG fan community was excited by the release of a new 12-minute Quinfall gameplay trailer. Users reacted to what was shown in different ways: someone added the project to their personal list of expectations, someone expressed skepticism, and some even suspected fraud. One way or another, it’s still worth following the project to find out what will come of it. Therefore, in this preview, we have collected for you all the currently known important information about Quinfall.

Предварительный обзор Quinfall - Стоит ли ждать новую MMORPG?

Quinfall is being developed by the newly minted Turkish studio Vawraek Technology, founded in 2021. However, its co-founder Sechgin Yavuz participated in the development of another MMORPG called Kayra Online, which was launched in October 2020 and closed in January 2022. So the novelty can be called its spiritual heir to some extent. In March 2022, 24 people worked on the game, among which 7 were in the studio, and 17 were in other teams involved in content, animation, story, design, and so on. As of September 2022, the team had a total of 54 people. Perhaps now this number is even higher.

Quinfall is an MMORPG set in the Middle Ages. However, players will be able to interact with other time periods as well. The developers promise a huge world with an area of 2016 square kilometers, divided into five regions with their own unique features and climatic conditions. Moreover, the world itself must adapt to the four seasons and times of day. Locations differ from each other not only visually, but also by the presence of unique monsters, events and other things.

We were told about the plot of Quinfall in a very streamlined way. The description states that players will have to learn the secret of the cursed crown that changed the fate of Quinfall, as well as bring peace and tranquility to a universe plunged into civil war, or become part of the growing chaos. The game has some elements of non-linearity, but how much they affect the main storyline is still difficult to say. We are also promised to reveal the backstories of dozens of main characters with their own stories.

Quinfall offers a fast-paced action-oriented non-target combat system where the player’s success depends on their skill and experience. Everyone can customize their character to their own style with a specialization system made up of dozens of different time-appropriate professions and 9 different weapon systems. Professions are as follows: Merchant, Fisherman, Cook, Alchemist, Treasure Hunter, Hunter, Tamer, Farmer, Miner, Lumberjack and Gatherer. Speaking about the character, it is worth mentioning the editor, because, as the authors assure, it allows you to fine-tune your appearance using hundreds of different muscle and bone controls.

The crafting and equipment upgrade system in Quinfall is not luck driven like in many Korean MMOs. It seems that you can forget about chance sharpening with random characteristics. But there is a trade system that allows you to exchange items with other players and even build trade routes. Yes, you understood everything correctly – you can rob caravans here.

There is content in the game for both PvE fans and hardcore PvP fans. Players will be able to fight world bosses, go through dungeons and raids, complete quests (main, additional, daily, weekly, repeating) or just do peaceful things. At the same time, PK (attacking other players) will be allowed in the open world, which is designed to bring a completely new combat experience at every turn. Exciting battles on ships, skirmishes on the islands and castle sieges are also announced. At the same time, players will be able to decide for themselves what activities they want to participate in.

However, this is not the only thing that will allow you to do in Quinfall. The developers promise a lot of ground and flying mounts with different characteristics, a homeownership system with the ability to create your own island, and a guild system. The latter should become an important part of the game. For example, owning a city will give your guild abilities such as managing taverns and shops.

After watching the latest gameplay trailer, you might notice some very high quality graphics, especially for the MMORPG genre. I can’t even believe that all this splendor was created on the Unity engine of the 2021 version. According to the authors, they used the most advanced technologies, including ray tracing. At the same time, it is reported that performance will be optimal on any system due to “unprecedented high-level optimization.” Quinfall’s system requirements are really low, but how the game will work and whether the developers have embellished the trailer, we will only know after we get the opportunity to play.

Quinfall is due out in 2023 on PC via Steam. Although it is possible that the game will be transferred, as it has recently been increasingly the case. Before the release, it is planned to conduct a closed beta testing, for which you can already apply on the official website. The project will be distributed according to the Buy-to-Play model – with a one-time payment and an in-game store without items that affect the balance. The authors also promised not to ask users for financial support at all stages of development, which means you won’t have to buy a pig in a poke for thousands of dollars.

So far, everything sounds very good – even, one might say, suspiciously good. However, it is to be hoped that in these times of mobile auto-grinding we will get a truly worthy representative of the MMORPG genre.
