Story line

• Hacking started out as a simple prompt where players could hit “hack” when interacting with consoles, but it has grown into a series of mini-games based on whether they are trying to eavesdrop, breach a firewall, or crack an electronic lock. Lockpicking involves solving a puzzle by flipping the pieces around, breaching a firewall requires a balance between speed and control as you try to roll a ball against a security breach, and tuning into a security guard’s radio requires careful listening and trying to determine where the sound is coming from.
• “I felt that hacking in games is basically just a chore,” said the developer. “The game should contain hacking, but how can we make it fun? How do we turn an arcade game into a hacking game? What types of systems would you like to break? Design-wise, they were made close to what we are trying to convey.”
• Stealth allows Vilona to take short walks without being seen by her opponents. She can still distract and confuse enemies by making noise or interacting with objects that can cause her to take cover to avoid getting shot.
• “We’ve created a completely seamless system where you can go from stealth to drawing attention, and then you’re in a confrontation with weapons blazing, and then you can shake your enemy,” said Lionhead, lead developer.
