Making your way as Ethan through the beautiful halls of Dimitrescu Castle, you will finally find yourself in the Ablution Hall. There you will find one of the must-have Resident Evil puzzles. To solve it, you need to turn four statues so that they all look in certain directions. But if you are more interested in being scared than solving puzzles, read our guide – we will help you easily cope with this riddle.
Even if you don’t see the name on your game map, the Ablution Hall is easily recognizable by the circular pool of blood right in the middle. There are four statues around it that you need to interact with in order to solve this puzzle.
How to rotate the statues in the Ablution Hall
Going forward in the same direction in which you entered, you will see a sign on the wall with the words: “Men’s glances are contemptible for women, and the poor only care about one thing: Give the lord an excellent harvest, so that the wine will flow faster.” This is a very useful hint by which you can determine the correct location of the statues.
In short, you want the female statues to face each other. Three men should look at the rider, and the rider should look at the woman in the robe. After that, the blood will flow out of the pool, revealing a staircase to a new part of the castle.
That’s the solution to the puzzle. Not the most difficult obstacle in the series – each statue can only look in two directions – but still may require time to solve, which you could spend exploring the castle.
