First Watch Games has decided to shut down the Nintendo Switch version of the third-person multiplayer shooter Rogue Company. In-game purchases are no longer available, and starting June 20, 2023, the game will no longer work on the hybrid console.

The reason Rogue Company is being discontinued on the Nintendo Switch is due to poor performance. According to the developers, the optimization on this console does not meet their quality standards, and the studio cannot provide the proper level of support that players deserve.

“We understand the impact this decision could have on our community and would like to assure you that we have been hard at work finding workarounds to address various Switch-related issues. Unfortunately, significant technical issues prevent us from continuing to support this platform, and we believe that this is the best choice for Rogue Company.

On other platforms, Rogue Company will continue to work, so if you suddenly played on Nintendo Switch, you can switch to PC, PlayStation and Xbox, keeping all your progress.
