The team behind the multiplayer third-person shooter Marvel Rivals has released a new video celebrating the midway point of season five. In it, creative director Guangyun Chen talked about what to expect in the upcoming update.
First of all, the game will feature a new heroine, Rogue (Rogue), who belongs to the class of defenders. She fights in close combat and is capable of stealing enemy basic abilities such as Doctor Strange’s shield and Loki’s regeneration area. When your ultimate is used, it continuously drains the ultimate from enemies around you, buffing your allies and granting them additional buffs based on their roles.
As per tradition, there will be changes in team abilities:
- Deleted – Emma Frost and Psylocke
- Added – Emma Frost receives an ice wall from Luna Snow; Cloak and Dagger gives Psylocke’s light shuriken the ability to heal herself and allies, and also makes it possible to damage enemies while turning invisible; Gambit gives Rogue an ability that enhances her normal attacks, allowing them to deal damage around the target while healing nearby allies.
In addition, it was revealed that Jeff’s Winter Festival will return on December 18, 2025 on a new map. A series of new holiday skins will also be launched.
