Hi-Rez Studios closed the game in the Royal Battle genre called Realm Royale, which was launched in early access back in 2018, but did not reach a full release. Initially, the project was planned as a mode for the Paladins shooter, but eventually grew into an independent game.
At the start of Realm Royale, it gained great popularity, and the maximum peak of online reached 105 thousand people-mainly due to the affiliations of various streamers, such as Ninja. Unfortunately, the game could not hold the players, because of which online quickly began to fall. Even the large -scale renewal of Reformged, which came out in October last year and made a huge number of changes, did not save the situation.
Earlier it became known about the termination of the support of three publisher games and major abbreviations that touched 69 employees. The first part of Smite, Rogue Company and Paladins will no longer receive content updates, but they do not plan to close servers in the foreseeable future. All forces will be focused on Smite 2, which is now in the early access.
