Frost Giant Studios has announced updated priorities in the development of RTS Stormgate. This decision was based on feedback from the community and the desire of the developers to listen to the wishes of the players in order to retain the audience. And the first step was a major balance patch, in which changes affected all game factions, and the reward for destroying neutral creatures was balanced.
At the start of early access, players received several missions, but their quality was not final, which caused some negativity. Therefore, efforts to develop new and refine existing missions have been doubled so that players can get the story campaign in a completely finished form as soon as possible. The developers plan to add new images for units, rework the briefing before missions, improve sound effects, update character models in story videos and allow heroes to level up as part of the campaign.
The biggest change in priorities, however, is accelerating the development of the 3v3 team mode. Its addition was originally planned for 2025, but now the goal is to launch it before the end of 2024. According to the developers, this decision is based on a lot of feedback and requests from players.
Now it’s too early to talk about this mode, since it is under active development. However, the developers claim that this is the most innovative game mode they have planned. And shifting priorities for its development and launch will have a positive impact on the game’s audience.
