Survival Simulator Rust has received support for NVIDIA DLSS technology with the latest update. According to the developers, this has increased performance by up to 50%, while maintaining image quality comparable to rendering in native resolution.

“In Rust, responsiveness can be a critical factor in combat, and because NVIDIA DLSS delivers performance gains without sacrificing image quality and gaming experience, it’s a win-win,” said Helk, Rust project leader, designer and programmer.

Below is a video comparing frame rates in Rust with DLSS enabled and disabled:

To enable DLSS in Rust, you need to install the latest Game Ready driver, download an update for the game, and then activate a custom option in the graphics settings.

DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is NVIDIA’s artificial intelligence rendering technology that increases graphics performance with dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on GeForce RTX graphics cards.
