Screenshots and the first details about the Toxic Commando, a cooperative PVE play from the Saber Interactive studio, flowed into the network. One of the users Reddit He published nine screenshots from the game, and also shared key details about the project.
According to the leak, the Toxic Commando resembles Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood, but differs a number of features:
- The missions are tied to certain zones, and not just the movement from point A to point B.
- Transport plays an important role: machines can be equipped with turrets and modifications, such as an enhanced horn to attract zombies. Each machine has a fuel supply that needs to be replenished.
- The game will offer pumping characters and weapons, different levels of complexity and a central base, where it will be possible to improve equipment and test weapons.
In addition, several more users shared their impressions and reported that they took part in tests back in 2024. Then the project was raw and with problems in optimization, but the opinions about the gameplay itself were divided: one of the users liked it, and the second was disappointed.
According to the official description of the TOXIC Commando will be released on a PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. The plot of the game unfolds in the near future, where, as a result of an unsuccessful experiment on the use of the energy of the Earth’s nucleus, an ancient evil appears, turning the soil into mucus, and people into undead. The genius, standing behind the disaster, decides to fix everything, but instead of expensive specialists, is hired by a detachment of cheap Toxic Commandos mercenaries. Players are waiting for the choice of classes, cooperative gameplay, a bunch of weapons, grenades, special abilities and even katana.
The games were supposed to be released back in 2024, but there are still no hints at the exact date of the release.
