The pirate multiplayer action Sea of Thieves is moving to the familiar seasons system for modern games-services. Each will last for three months, with the first starting in January 2021. Together with the beginning of the season, the developers plan to release major content updates. It will also not do without battle passes, which will traditionally be available in free and paid versions.
Unfortunately, the PvP mode “Arena” did not live up to the Rare studio’s expectations and was shallow popularity among the players, so its support is discontinued. The mode itself will not be deleted, but you should not expect any innovations.
The developers also boasted of another Sea of Thieves achievement. It became known that in total, over 15 million people have played this game.
