The new game Section 8 comes out on game screens and is already available for download in the Russian version via torrent. Take on the role of a paratrooper soldier equipped with an exoskeleton through which you can burn everyone in your path.

Story line

On the war-torn planets of the future, humanity’s greatest battle is about to begin. With its frontier colonies devastated by the growing rebellion, Earth dispatches the elite 8th Armored Infantry (nicknamed “Section 8”) to fend off the incoming onslaught. The nickname refers to an old US military regulation that a soldier would be discharged from service due to his mental unfitness for duty. Almost suicidal missions that this unit voluntarily advertises as insane for other military units. Section 8 is deployed by “burning” from their orbital ships tens of thousands of feet above the battlefield, using the most advanced arsenal of military hardware known to man. Their task is to scout and protect difficult targets and break enemy defenses in lightning attacks. An intense first-person shooter, Section 8 allows players to dynamically change the flow of combat as they see fit. Using tactical resources and on-demand vehicle delivery, players gain unprecedented strategic control over epic sci-fi battlefields. Get ready to burn the soldiers; the war starts in 2009. Game process

You play as a soldier in the 8th Armored Division – and thanks to the exoskeleton combat armor, you have several unique abilities. First, you don’t show up on the map, you “burn through”. Jumping from dropships flying over the battle zone, you can select any point on the map and crash into it like a meteor. You’ll see flames lick your face and your height meter tick down as you hit the ground, and it’s up to you to decide if you want to hit the ground like a bomb or apply the air brake to set your approach. Jump straight and you’ll be on the ground faster, but it will take you a moment to recover from the landing. Slow down and you can set up a precise fit, but after a few seconds you’ll be out of line. With some practice, you will be able to bend the trigger under enemy flak fire. Burning-in looks and feels great and is the coolest feature Section 8 has to offer shooter fans. But once you land, mediocrity kicks in again with the traditional stock weapon arsenal complete with jetpack and speed boost abilities. The Jetpack allows you to reach almost any vertical space on the map, while the speed boost allows you to cross large distances in an instant. The increased mobility is meant to help you navigate Section 8’s huge maps, but it’s hard to enjoy how well your jetpack and boosters work as you dash and jump your way through the dull and boring backdrop.
