Vostok Games has decided to shut down the multiplayer first-person shooter Survarium. The game was released in early access on April 2, 2015, that is, about seven years ago, but never made it to a full release. The servers will be permanently shut down in May.

The developers did not specify the reason for the closure of Survarium, but, apparently, it is related to the low popularity of the project. The team thanked all the players and expressed hope to see them in future projects.

“After almost ten years since the launch, the time has come to turn the page of the Survarium project. We hatched this decision for a long time, but we postponed it as much as possible, as we understood how important and dear the project has become for many of you. And this is a decision made with pain in the heart. We are incredibly grateful to all the players without exception who have been with Survarium throughout its history – for your support, constructive criticism, for the time devoted to the game – it was amazing years together! We believe and hope that we will continue this joint path in the future – in the new projects of Vostok Games,” said the representatives of the studio.

Until the end of March, the game will continue to work as before, and at the beginning of April they will stop providing technical support and turn off monetization. All players will receive 50,000 gold and 500,000 silver to purchase equipment and weapons. Then, in mid-May, a special event will begin, after which the servers will be turned off.
