In Sniper Elite III: Afrika you can get experience points. The actual number of points you managed to score is displayed on the progress bar (this can be seen in the screenshot above). Filling the bar is equivalent to advancing to a higher military rank, awarding you unlocks for new types of equipment (like a new type of mine or a better sniper rifle).
You can earn experience points for:
fulfillment of specific mission objectives.
elimination of enemies – you can earn more experience points if, for example, you decide to stealthily kill an enemy, headshot an enemy, or mark him in advance.
destruction of enemy vehicles – the most points can be earned by destroying enemy tanks.
completing the main objectives of the mission – the amount of experience points you can earn in this way depends on the difficulty level on which the specific mission was completed.
collect secrets and solve problems.
finding equipment upgrades on the bodies of dead enemies.
