The real-time strategy Dune: Spice Wars is about to leave the early access stage, which it has been in since April 2022. During the Level Infinite Showcase at gamescom 2023, Shiro Games announced that the full release will take place next month, in September 2023. At the same time, the game will receive a major update 1.0.
“Based on the iconic IP Dune, this is a 4X RTS game where players will have to balance open warfare, political influence and economic dominance in order to survive and gain control of the planet Arrakis. Version 1.0 is coming very soon! Control the spice, control the universe,” reads the trailer description.
Dune: Spice Wars is a 4X action RTS set in the Dune universe by Frank Herbert. Players will be able to choose from four factions and play as iconic characters including Duke Leto Atreides or Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. To achieve victory, you will have to extract resources, increase the army and seize territories.
